Huskies Drop Twinbill to East Stroudsburg

BLOOMSBURG- The Bloomsburg University baseball team fell to East Stroudsburg in both games of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon. The Huskies lost game one, 18-5, and fell in game two, 10-4.

In game one, Bloomsburg was led by Mike Austin (Dallastown/NW Shoals JC) who hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, and Tyler Gansner (Lancaster/Lampeter-Strasburg/UNC Charlotte) went 2-4 with an RBI. Vinny Vorhees (Lakaska/New Hope Solebury) (3-2) took the loss for the Huskies.

In game two, Austin put the Huskies up 2-0 on the second inning, but ESU took control from there. The Warriors took advantage of a five run third inning to pull away.

With the losses, the Huskies fall to 11-15, 3-7 in the PSAC East.

Bloomsburg returns to action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to East Stroudsburg. The doubleheader begins at 1:00 p.m.
